Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is the closest major airport to Lawrence, Kansas. Travel time between MCI and Lawrence is approximately 50 minutes by car or shuttle. View a map of the route. When departing the conference, follow your airline’s recommendations for arrival time before your flight. In general, plan to arrive at the airport at least 1.5 hours prior to a domestic flight.

Ride Share Coordination
The Local Arrangements Committee has set up a ride sharing page here (https://www.groupcarpool.com/t/07qxh4) for those who wish to coordinate shared group shuttle rides or rental cars.
Please Note: The conference organizers will not be directly involved in arranging carpools. We have instead contracted with an online carpooling application to allow attendees to arrange their own carpools. This application allows an attendee to create trip sign-ups for ride sharing of a rental car or a shuttle ride and its cost. If there is not a trip set up at the time of arrival, you can create a new trip. Other attendees can then sign up to join the ride. The person setting up the carpool will need to make arrangements for the rental car or group shuttle. Note that some shuttle companies do charge by the trip rather than per person.
Shuttle Service
Shuttle services at Kansas City International Airport strongly recommend advance reservations. Some charge per person, others charge per trip. Coordinating with other travelers may yield savings.
